<p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: transparent;">Cynthia Pekron is Head of Morningstar’s Data Collections Systems building platforms and AI capabilities that power data at scale.</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: transparent;">Cynthia specializes in human-in-the-loop machine learning systems, product development, and operational transformation. She is a thought leader in applied AI, collaborating with INSEAD, Harvard, and Vanderbilt and lecturing at NYU, Northwestern, and DePaul.</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: transparent;">After leaving Amazon.com, Cynthia joined Morningstar to build some of the firm’s most iconic analytics including the</span><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SI2kk-4Jskk" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" style="color: rgb(17, 85, 204); background-color: transparent;"> Morningstar Medalist Rating</a><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: transparent;">,using a proprietary human-in-the-loop machine learning system resulting in 10x analyst productivity, and 20x increase in ratings coverage. She recently launched Morningstar’s LLM data extraction engine and Morningstar’s first agent-collected datasets with over 99%+ accuracy.</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: transparent;">Cynthia serves as an Ambassador for the Analytics Leaders Network and on Morningstar’s AI Council. Cynthia holds her bachelor’s from Georgetown and her </span><span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); background-color: transparent;">master’s from Carnegie Mellon. </span><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: transparent;">She’s passionate about libraries and ice cream as a year-round sport.
