<p><span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); background-color: transparent;">Joe Liu is Chief Technology Officer at James Hardie Building Products, where he leads global R&D and innovation for the multibillion-dollar building-products enterprise. Reporting to the CEO, he sets the company’s innovation vision and is advancing AI enablement as force multipliers for innovation speed and sustainable growth. Before James Hardie, Joe spent 26 years at 3M, culminating as Senior Vice President of R&D, Commercialization, Sustainability, and Data Science for the Global Consumer Business Group, after senior R&D and general-management roles across the U.S. and International—including a $1B business turnaround in Southeast Asia. He holds dual Ph.D.s in Mechanics (University of Minnesota) and Thermal Energy & Power Engineering (Xi’an Jiaotong University), holds 27 U.S. patents, and was elected to the U.S. National Academy of Engineering in 2023.</span></p>
